The Project
• 750-seat expansion of Epic’s existing Deep Space auditorium • Curved living roof carrying heavy dead loads • Faux-stone precast concrete façade with large point loads • Long-span truss systems over the seating bowl
My Role
• Verified roof beams for temporary loads with SAP2000 and hand calcs • Added shear and moment values to the Revit floor plans across three levels and the roof • Reviewed steel submittals: shear tabs, embed plates and column bases • Detailed guardrails and designed an MEP rack, from model and baseplate calcs to report and drawings • Analyzed catwalk pipe supports and stairs
